Once you’ve entered your call data, containing participants names, country, cost per minute and total type, total the Cost per Minute column to get the overall cost per minute for the whole group. After that you have to multiply the total sum by the number of minutes that you think the teleconference will take up. For instance, if the cost per minute for all participants makes $2.56 and the phone call is going to last 30 minutes, the conference call will cost you $76.74.

In case the call duration is a lot more than expected, the overall cost exceeds the fixed budget. Make additional calculations and the total cost per minute calculation by using your spreadsheet, so that you will know exactly how much you’ll pay. There is no concern when the call is exceeded by a minute or two, because it’ll cost you only a few dollars. But it is very easy to raise them to fifteen minutes, for example.
